We are excited to announce our SolarBoost technology has been selected as a winner in the 8th annual Energy Starter programme, a global innovation initiative created by EDP an energy gentailer with over 9 million customers in 28 countries.
SolarBoost, is the world’s first grid-scale, behind the meter (DC coupled) battery that can increase the power output of solar panels by up to 15% and net profits by up to 30% for less than the cost of existing batteries.
The programme showcases the most promising new renewable energy technologies from around the world and is dedicated to fostering solutions to shape the electrical grids of the future.
Each year EDP selects 8-12 technologies for paid pilot programmes with successful pilots being evaluated for rollout to EDP’s asset base. By 2026 EDP will have 9.4GW of solar and 500MW of energy storage and aims to be 100% renewable by 2030.
The programme starts with a Bootcamp in Singapore this week and concludes with an Open Day on Thursday 18 April at 3.30 AEST. The event will be live streamed and you can register here to view:
